d_o_ppelgaenger is a pianist, composer, electronic music producer, teacher, and researcher specialising in contemporary music and mastering electroacoustic composition. He is the author of ambient and techno productions, modular scores such as Grooves #1 (2017) or Déjà vu (2024), unique events such as Ephemera for 20 pianos (2011), compositions for piano and electronics, and his recent album Live at Perpendicular (2024).

His music explores the boundaries between the acoustic and the electronic through a wide variety of often clashing aesthetics, from early music or soundtracks to all kinds of disruptive avant-garde in a chiaroscuro of styles and ideas with narrative sound design, handling classical instrumentation as well as electronic synthesis and production, field recording, or development of tools in SuperCollider.

His live performances traverse the middle ground between divergent languages from the academic to the non-idiomatic, from the romantic or expressionistic to the algorithmic, trying to create perceptual experiences that evoke all sorts of juxtaposed emotions or overlapping sensations, in search of an empathy between the known and the not understood or barely really heard.
