Born in Colorado and currently based in Paris and Stockholm, Kali Malone composes and performs with clarity of vision. Her patient and focused music is built on a foundation of evolving harmonic cycles that draw out latent emotional resonances, seeking to set aside expectations of duration and breadth in favour of reflection and contemplation. With a subtle but distinctly political character, theorised within and outside the academy, experimental reinterpretations of centuries-old polyphonic compositional methods and historical tuning systems become portals to new ways of perceiving harmony, structure and introspection.

Kali Malone’s concert premiere in Spain includes selected compositions from her acclaimed albums All Life Long and The Sacrificial Code adapted for organ. In the four-hand pieces, the American artist will be accompanied by Stephen O’Malley, a guitarist, producer, composer and visual artist who has conceptualised and participated in numerous drone and experimental music groups for more than two decades: SUNN O))), KTL and Khanate are some of his best-known projects.
