Born on the ancient island of Sicily and based in Berlin, Nino Pedone is a producer, DJ, sound designer and founder of WEIGHT LOOMING, best known for his work as Shapednoise. He sculpts bewildering and messy electronic textures, fusing them with abrasive, masterfully designed beats and crossing genre boundaries, drawing inspiration from industrial music, rave, noise, grime and rap. In 2023, Pedone releases his most ambitious album to date, Absurd Matter, which structures his sonic experimentation in unstable but familiar patterns and features collaborations with Armand Hammer, Brodinski, Dean Hurley, Moor Mother and ZeelooperZ.

At Volumens, Shapednoise will premiere the live audiovisual performance of Absurd Matter in Spain, accompanied by Barcelona-based visual artist and producer Sevi Iko Dømochevsky, known for his work with Skrillex, Grimes, Arca and Aho Ssan. Alongside the computer-generated and 3D visuals, the artists have designed a chaotic barricade made up of LCD screens and lighting.
